Module Outline
The module is prepared for a five-year period starting in Spring term of the 2009-2010 academic year. The class will meet weekly for six hours in the related department of Dokuz Eylul University.
Businessmen, commercial lawyers, bureaucrats in Chambers of Commerce and industry, local administrators and consumer organizations are the target group of the module.
Aims and Objectives
The module aims to raise awareness on competition policy and to create competition culture. The module also aims to remind the rules on competition policy set by the Turkish Competition Authority.
Learning Outcomes
The courses are expected to raise awareness of the target group on;
1. Unlawful business activities that prevents free trade set out under Customs Union
2. The importance of competition laws fort he market integration
3. Claiming compensation in court in private antitrust damages
4. The importance of competition policy fort he consolidation of the market economy
Teaching Methods
The training courses are designed fort he period of five weeks, a day per week and six hours a
day.
